Airships are fairly new to the world and so far are only created by the Ikorid’s. They are then sold by a human front company on Darndel, Illumistrea, and Sulwani. The profits from the sell are used to buy supplies that the Ikorid can’t produce themelves or that they need an abundance of.
Smaller, faster airships made for speed and transportation are made of magically treated wood. Larger, slower airships made for defense or transportation over armed territory are made of metal. All airships are powered by a large crystal at its core. The crystal is magically charged with ether energy from another plane discovered by the Ikorid. This crystal powers the ships engines, weapons, and shield. Some of the smaller ships are armed with Ether cannons for defense. The largest airship recently created has a massive Aether Cannon running down its center.
Any character who has passed the airship licenser's exam can purchace an airship, but can only have two (2) at a time. Only pilots can buy and operate any airship above a basic SH. Airships can later be upgraded with certain upgrades.
Airship Combat
Airships have no artilliary weaponry other than the standard Ether Cannon (EC). Because these weapons are so powerful, there are certain restrictions to these weapons.
ECs must be charged for 2 post before use, regardless of the situation. Also, if you target an EC towards a player character, that character must have a chance to escape the blast, but will be hit by the aftershock. Any disregard to either of these rules will be met with by the staff, and merits a warning. When 3 warnings are received, you will be temporarily suspended from posting.
When attacked by enemy EC, the ship will receive damage. When enough damage is sustained, the airship will fall (NOT EXPLODE). Airship Shield can be upgraded by purchasing upgrades at ports.
If your opponent airship's speed is:
There was some long complicated system for this but I gonna break it down in simple terms and as long as people don't abuse it it'll stay this simple. Be realistic. If a ship is way faster then yours then your not gonna be able to hit it as often or with as many cannons. But if a smaller ship can't take as many hits as a larger ship so it balances out. The end
Repairing
To repair an airship, this can be done either internally (must be done by the ship's repair crew) or externally (must be done by a repair crew in a dock). To repair a ship internally, the ship must first land and cannot fly.
