There is a single large fortress that strandles the landbridge. On it are stationed a joint army of all the species from both contients. Since the landbridge is the key to landtrade between Darndel and Illumistrea both continents seek to protect it from The Void, and each other. The fort was founded by a elf named Sykes and is currently led by the his grandson, a half-elf named Carith.
