1. Have fun. I think it's the most important rule so I didn't leave it for last.
2. Keep things fun for others. There is no rule that you have to RP with every other member of the board so if you dislike someone, don't RP with them and keep OOC arguments off of the board. However, if you should fall out OOCly whilst in a thread, we expect a viable IC reason, and consequent action, that explains why your characters won't be meeting any more. And if you can still RP with the person, despite the differences, then all the better.
3. No powergaming/godmodding. Your characters aren't masters of the universe so please don't rp them that way. Keep in mind how experienced your character is at magic or fighting. No one has an ultimate super-weapon. This is keep things fun for others.
4. Be original. We understand how much you love Frodo, or Rothen, or any other person out of your favourite book, honestly, we do. But don't try to recreate them, subtly or boldly. Originality is fun, and the best way to go.
5. Keep swearing to a minimum. We understand that your character might get annoyed, and just want to let out a string of 'bad' words to relieve himself, and that's fine. Out of character, however, is a different matter. Sure, we won't begrudge you the odd 'tossing' or 'bastard' but there really is no reason to make yourself look like Gordon Ramsey for the audio impaired.
6. If your thread may offend anyone put a warning on it. If your thread may include something that is extremely violent or sexual, put a warning at the top of it. If you see a warning, and such content offends you, don't read it or join in. This does not give you the right to make this into a pornography board, however. Keep things tasteful.
